Hey everyone! Great news this weekend! First of all, we've got one more our of sunlight! I love it!! It's 6pm and there's still some light! Secondly, the weather was finally beautiful for two days in a row. Beautiful! I can't believe I'm so happy just because of the fact that the temperature is slightly above the freezing point and there are no clouds... but I am! I did a lot of walking and catching up with the city this weekend, and that also implies brunch.
What's brunch? Ok, if you're a New Yorker you probably know... But if you're like I was a couple years ago, I had no clue. Brunch is a fancy way to say "I was really lazy in bed and when I woke up I felt it was too late for breakfast, I was hungry but I was ashamed to call it lunch... so I take both concepts and call it br-unch"
"Brunch is a meal that is eaten in the late morning or early afternoon, generally between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM. A typical brunch combines elements of breakfast and lunch, reflecting the fact that it is supposed to serve for both meals. Many people associate it with the weekends, particularly Sundays, perhaps because many people are able to sleep in on the weekends, making a late breakfast and early lunch combination more appealing. Technically, like breakfast, this meal can be served on any day of the week." Link
Honoring my Saturday laziness, I chose the place that was closest to where we were, Orion Diner & Grill. 15 bucks and it include coffee, the steak meal you see above, mimosa and orange juice. The meat was great!
Here's a fantastic list by Time Out New York that talks about the best brunch places in the city: http://www.timeout.com/newyork/food-drink/best-brunch Many of them offer great deals, like 2x1 or unlimited drinks until a certain hour.
Another option for sunny weekends is to take away and enjoy brunch outside. Parks are great locations for that! Or, as I did today: 5th Av. and 18th street, outside of a regular corner deli.
I just couldn't get enough sun! Now it's time to get ready for week 11! I wish you the best of luck if you're starting finals! Thanks for reading and see you soon!

Man, thanks again! for the most positive blog I've ever read!! Seriously!. The way you you talk about NYC once inspired me to go to this city, I've been there and am going to visit it soon again.

DeleteYes, thanks, I had fun in New York. And am gonna have more soon, in May! :)
Last time I was in NYC for 2 weeks, and I feel like I haven't explored a half of Manhattan yet. So huge!!)))) And that is considering the fact that I stayed only in Manhattan (no Brooklyn, Queens, etc).
Look forward to coming in the city again.
By the way, I also still dream of studying in NYC. May be will check out the Berkeley College atmosphere the next time as well. :)
