Seeing the stadium itself before my eyes was impressive. I don't know how I was expecting it to be, but definitely not like that. It's just beautiful! It made me love the game even before watching a minute of it.
I knew the basic rules of baseball because I used to play at school back in Spain when I was a kid. However, I did need some tutoring on this subject before I could really understand the game. Now I know who the Yankees stars are and how you're not supposed to scream "GOOOL" when your time scores like they do at soccer games in Spain.
Let's talk food.
The variety in the menu at the New York Yankees stadium isn't huge, so we decided to go Yankees all the way and do like most people were doing over there: hot dog and large coke. I usually won't have this type of food... but I have to say it was pretty enjoyable in that situation!
My dessert was served on a Yankees cap. Delicious vanilla ice cream, and I get to keep the plastic thing. Valuable memories.
There are two more things that got me impressed. The inscription you see above can be found at the back of ALL 50,287 seats. So, be alert for the one bat and the one ball if you're at one of the 50,287. Chances are you'll get hit if you're not alert.
The other thing that really caught my eye was the sponsors tricks to get your attention. I love it. There are millions of ads in the stadium, and each and one of them tries to stand out from the rest. Whether it is by flying a balloon or proposing marriage, they do get your attention.
Mike, I hope Francis Hernandez said yes and you two have a happy ever after story!
By the way, the Yankees won 5-4 to the Detroit Tigers! For more information you can check: newyork.yankees.mlb.com. Thanks for reading and see you soon!
